The Science of Speed

Although I am not an car racing fan, I've highlighted two different articles/links that talk about the speed of NASCAR and auto racing (see here and here). Now comes a collaboration between the National Science Foundation (NSF), NASCAR (admit it, you didn't see these two coorporating on anything, did you?), and the University of Texas to produce a video on the science and engineering of car racing and speed. It is supposed to be "... a 12-part video series that teaches viewers the science behind making cars powerful, agile, fast and safe, and how these same principles affect their own cars."

The official launch, I think, is on April 3. So stay tune!

Zz.
